Eastern Point Beach opens on Saturday, June 20th.

Starting June 20th no car will be allowed past the gate without a 2020 Season Pass affixed to its windshield.

Beach passes cannot be purchased at the beach gate and daily parking fees will not be taken. Beach passes are NOT Transferable and are Non-Refundable.

A 2020 Season Pass does not guarantee you access to the beach. Capacity will be limited and entrance access restrictions may apply.

Saturday, Sundays and Holidays - ONLY City Resident Season Passes will be allowed in.
Monday – Friday ALL Season Passes will be subject to the same limited capacities. 
Walk-Ins are limited to City of Groton Residents Only and are free.
This is a fluid situation and access may be changed without prior notice.

All Beach Pass Requests will require a copy of the following:

-   -  Current car registration (of the car the sticker is going on)

-   -  Driver’s License (showing date of birth if qualifying for senior pricing, 62+). Name of license MUST match name on car registration.

-   -   Check made out to ‘City of Groton’ for the appropriate fee. MUST have valid phone number on check!

If you moved to the City of Groton recently and your city address is not reflected on your registration or ID you should include a current copy of your utility bill, lease or city tax bill to qualify for the City Resident rate.

All mail in and drop box requests must include a self-addressed stamped envelope (or $1.00 extra to cover this).

Season Pass Fees are:

City Resident or City Tax Payer                                 $32.00

Senior City Resident or Tax Payer, 62 and above        $15.00
Town of Groton Senior, 62 and above                        $32.00
Senior Non-Resident, 62 and above                           $48.00

Online Registration for your Beach Pass (starting 5/23) can be made at http://cityofgroton.recdesk.com. You will upload an image or pdf of your required documents and pay by credit card. A new online account must be created first unless you already have one.

There will be a $1.00 fee added to cover postage and envelope for mailing pass back along with the usual processing fee for a credit card transaction.

 If you are redeeming a Gift Certificate for your pass, include that with your required documents in your mail in or drop box request (cannot be redeemed online).

Beach Pass Requests will take up to 5 business days to process and you will receive your pass back in the mail. We will make every effort to complete this process as fast as possible! Be sure to include a contact phone number, so if we have questions about your request we can contact you.   

 NO car will be allowed through the beach gate, starting June 20th , without a 2020 Season Pass sticker on it’s windshield.   

Concession Stand will NOT be open this beach season due to the current health crisis. No grills or picnic tables will be available either.

NEW START DATE FOR SUMMER PLAYGROUND

PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT PLAYGROUND UPDATES:
Summer Playground Start Date, per Governor's Order, has been moved to June 29, 2020.
We will NOT hold Playground on RAIN DAYS due to COVID Guidelines and inside space constraints.
There will be a cap in place for total number registered, so register early!
 
 

Recreation Programs and Rentals

All Recreation Programs and Rentals of the Zbierski House and Pavilions have been cancelled until June 20, 2020 per Governor's Executive Order #7pp.

Refund/Charge Policy

Refund Policy
There are no refunds unless a program is cancelled by the Recreation Department. In the case of cancellation by the Rec. Dept., the program fee (less online convenience charges) will be refunded via check from the City of Groton. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable, except with a physician’s note. In this instance, a prorated credit (less online convenience charges) will be issued.
 
Convenience Charge
There is a 2.5% of your total cart + $.50 per transaction fee that will be added to your total upon checkout. These charges are applied in consideration of the bank fees which the City bears to accept credit cards as a form of payment.
