Washington Park

Washington Park is on Meridian Street next to the Groton Municipal Building (155 Meridian Street, Groton, CT 06340).  The 32.9-acre park includes three baseball fields, two softball fields, playground equipment, tennis courts, outdoor fitness circuit, volleyball area,
basketball hoops and outdoor pavilions. The park also features a Workers' Memorial, honoring those who have died or been injured on the job. George Marquardt donated the land for Washington Park on Dec. 31, 1931 to residents of the City of Groton.
It provides a recreational and family atmosphere we are proud of.
